Cedar Haven Ranch offers riding lessons for all skill levels. Whether you're new to riding or preparing for competitions, we have well-trained horses for you. We provide private and group lessons that include riding and essential skills like grooming and saddling. Our friendly instructors are passionate about horses and experienced in various riding styles, including dressage, eventing, barrel racing, ranch versatility, trail and more.
You may bring your own horse to lessons if you have one. Lessons take place in indoor or outdoor arenas, depending on the weather. Our main goal is to help you become a confident and skilled rider, prioritizing your comfort and safety. Our instructors support you in building confidence at your own pace. Lesson Tuition Pricing
Private Lessons
60 minute private lesson: $220/month
30 minute private lesson (ages 2-5): $110/month
One Time Private Assessment Lesson
60 minute lesson: $55
Group Lessons
60 minute group lesson: $180/month
Our riding program has a monthly fee that covers weekly lessons. Some months have four weeks, and others have five. If a month has five weeks, the fee remains the same. If a rider misses a lesson or we have a holiday/barn wide closure, there are no credits or refunds.
Please note: Each rider must attend a minimum of one private assessment lesson before they will be placed in a group lesson setting.

Lessons with katie
Katie has over 8 years of experience teaching and learning from top professionals. She has studied under Lillan Rome of LR Horsemanship for many years and teaches clinics with her throughout the year. Katie enjoys traveling across the country to learn from various clinicians and loves the chance to expand her knowledge and share it with her students at Cedar Haven Ranch. Katie’s books are currently only open to students with their own horses.
Only lessons with Katie are on a ‘pay per lesson’ basis.

Holy Enuff aka “Nuffy” was a once in a lifetime horse. She was the lesson horse who we all built our confidence out here at Cedar Haven. She was the start of it all and helped build our program from the ground up. Some people say unicorns don’t exist, but those that knew her witnessed her magic. We will all miss her so much.
